Project - Building Control Qualifications

Small Buildings.

During 2007 there was considerable interest from the sector in the development process and in the two rounds of consultation for the National Diploma in Building Control Surveying (Small Building)*.

The detailed components (unit standards) were submitted to New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) in July 2007 and registered by them on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) in January 2008.  The list of units can be found on Small Building Nat Dip.

The National Qualification document is ready for evaluation by NZQA, though delays in processing may mean the registration of this document does not happen until the third quarter this year. 

To ensure the sector has access to the DRAFT document a copy is available on the Small Building Nat Dip.  This document can only be provided as a guide as NZQA may require changes prior to registration.
