Qualification Pathway to Match the Roles in the Reactive Maintenance and New Infrastructure Pipelaying

This information is the next step in the review of qualifications in the Infrastructure Pipelaying and Reactive Maintenance sectors, it will define the detail of the national qualifications which have been mapped against the skills and knowledge areas to provide a unified approach to training. Thanks to those who provided feedback on the first consultation phase of the project to define the skills and knowledge of roles within the Infrastructure Pipelaying and Reactive Maintenance sectors.

We have been fortunate that industry wide qualification development and review projects are already under way in a number of areas.  Working in parallel with these projects our combined InfraTrain and Water Industry Training industry advisory group have identified packages of unit standards that meet the requirements of existing and reviewed qualifications as well as developing the content and requirements of training specific to the reactive maintenance and new infrastructure pipelaying sectors. It is this specific area of development which is the focus of this project and this phase of consultation. If you would like to be included in the consultation on other qualification packages please send us your contact details and  identify the package you are interested in please click here.

What we would like you to do:

We would like you to take a look at what’s been developed and tell us know what you think of it.

  • To look at the detail of any qualification simply click on the area of the diagram below, if it is a specific component of this project there will be a link to provide feedback on that page.
  • To look at the detail of the unit standards we have developed or reviewed as part of this project please click here.

We were advised that providing feedback on all roles in the first phase of the project took people longer than they had expected so we've split up the sections and feedback form so you can feedback on just one package or on more if you wish. Click on the area of the diagram below to see the detail and provide your feedback.
