1. Overview This qualification would be registered at level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework with a minimum of 78 credits and be expected to take just over a year to complete. This is a review of the National Certificate in Water Reticulation (Level 3) with strands in Water, and Wastewater. The package and units have been considered by the combined industry advisory group for reactive maintenance and new infrastructure pipelaying sectors and feedback provided. Excavation and reinstatement has been removed from the package as this is covered by the new National Certificate in Infrastructure works (Excavation and Reinstatement) (Level 3) package. The core qualification has 10 compulsory units totalling 39 credits; the Wastewater and Stormwater endorsement has 6 compulsory units totalling 37 credits and an elective section which requires one unit taken from the options listed; the Water endorsement has 7 compulsory units totalling 36 credits and an elective section which requires one unit taken from the options listed. The registered version of most units are available from the NZQA website.   Please note: Unit 23282 is subject to review in light of the excavation and reinstatement package development. See the section on unit standard review for more information.

2. Reactive Maintenance Technician package

Core Compulsory
All the standards listed below are required. This equals 39 credits

Wastewater & Stormwater Compulsory
All the standards listed below are required. This equals 37 credits
