Website Design
There are as many answers as there are designs for web sites. But knowing why you want a web site and who you want it for, will help you get your web site to deliver the outcomes you want.
A brochure site.
This kind of site is what many organisations start out with. They are an electronic ‘online’ version of their company brochure. It tells visitors what they do and how to contact them. A great place to start.
A sales site.
Businesses often evolve their sites into more interactive sites providing customers with information about their products and services. These sites have increasingly included the option to purchase online. A good business option.
An information site.
Often tailored to various groups of users who may use the site, the structure of the site is geared to providing focused information often in a form that can be downloaded.
A resource site.
Often incorporating one of the models above but with secure areas where groups of customers or staff can access information not publicly available.
A retail site.
An online retail option for customers to purchase online. Requiring specialised security many sites include an option to list a few items as apposed to a full retail option where thousands of items may be available.
More and more organisations want to build an ongoing relationship with their visitors. Having a newsletter or direct email helps organisations stay in touch. The emails often include links to your web site for information rather than sending large emails out. If you want to build a client list you need the clients to ‘opt in’ and provide an ‘opt out’ in emails, if they no longer wish to receive them.
Williams Unlimited can assist with any of the options above and in any combination.
